Summary, etc. Der Maulwurf Grabowski lebt auf der Wiese eines Bauern unter Kühen und Kälbern. Die Wiese ist grün, der Boden ist weich und locker und Grabowski mangelt es an nichts. Doch plötzlich erscheinen Männer und vermessen das gesamte Land, Grabowskis Land. Von nun an ist nichts mehr wie es war. Riesige Baumaschinen greifen nach ihm, Bauarbeiter versuchen ihn zu fangen. Ängstlich verkriecht sich der kleine Maulwurf, doch nach Feierabend stellt er fest, dass es seine Wiese und sein Haus nicht mehr gibt. So beginnt seine lange Wanderung über gefährliche Autobahnen und Eisenbahnschienen, um eine neue Wiese zu finden, in der er es sich gemütlich machen kann.
