Ehe sie weiß, was sie tut, reißt Alissa die Pflanze aus und steckt sie ein. Von diesem Augenblick an ist nichts mehr so wie vorher. Alissa beginnt Dinge zu sehen, die sie nicht sehen sollte, und auch die Menschen um sie herum verändern sich. In wechselnden Perspektiven entwickelt sich ein Leben, das aus den Fugen gerät und zwischen dem Diesseits und Jenseits pendelt.
