| Summary, etc. | Der Verlag hat sich - Wale und Delfine betreffend - gut aufgestellt: Fast jedes Jahr erscheint ein Titel dazu in den verschiedensten Bilderbuchreihen (zuletzt "Wale - die letzten Riesen ..., BA 10/05). Hier nun darf mithilfe von Klappen und Stanzen in den Bauch eines Wals geguckt werden (wenig spannend), die Fangtechnik des Furchenwals und der Kampf des Pottwals mit einem Riesentintenfisch ebenso bestaunt werden wie die Tarnung von Belugas (alles sehr spannend).Wie auch bei anderen Titeln zum Thema (z.B. "Wale und Delfine", Ravensburger BA 9/03) wird über die bei Kindern so beliebten Delfine zu wenig berichtet. Insgesamt jedoch erklärt die erfahrene Autorin vieles, was Kinder wissen wollen: Wie kommt ein Walbaby zur Welt? Können Wale ertrinken? Was fressen sie eigentlich - und warum sind sie bedroht? Die Illustrationen der Klappen sind im Gegensatz zum anspruchsvollen, informativen Text wenig spektakulär. Doch da das Leben dieser Riesentiere fast so spannend ist wie das der Saurier: Empfehlung für alle Bibliotheken.. - Das Buch entführt Kinder in die Tiefen des Meeres und gibt Antworten auf viele Fragen rund um Wale und Delfine. |
